Yogyakarta, as one of the popular tourist destinations in Indonesia, has various means of transportation that make it easy for residents and tourists to move around the city or to the surrounding areas. Here are some means of transportation in Yogyakarta:

1. Public Transportation:
Trans Jogja: Buses with a mass transportation system that serve the main routes in the city of Yogyakarta and several surrounding areas, such as to the airport, terminals, and popular tourist attractions. Trans Jogja is quite cheap and comfortable for tourists who want to get around the city.

City Transportation (Angkot): Angkot is still quite common in Yogyakarta. They have more flexible routes and can access places that Trans Jogja does not reach. Usually angkot has cheaper fares, but is not as formal as the Trans Jogja bus.

2. Ojek and Taxi:
Ojek: Ojek is one of the popular transportation options, both regular motorcycle taxis and online motorcycle taxis such as Gojek and Grab. Ojek can be used for fast travel and avoiding traffic jams.

Taxi: Conventional taxis are also available in Yogyakarta, although they are less common than motorcycle taxis or public transportation. Taxis are also available through applications such as Grab.

3. Bicycle:
Yogyakarta is a bicycle-friendly city. Many tourists choose to get around by bicycle, either privately rented or provided by hotels or tourist attractions. Bicycles are also used by many locals as a means of daily transportation.

4. Motorcycle Rental:
Renting a motorbike is a popular choice for tourists who want to freely explore the city and its surroundings. Many motorbike rentals offer a variety of vehicles, from small motorbikes to scooters.

5. Car Rental and Travel:
If you want to travel further or with a group, many travel agents offer car rental services with or without a driver. This is very practical for tourists who want to visit more distant tourist destinations, such as Borobudur Temple, Prambanan Temple, and Parangtritis Beach.

6. Train:
Yogyakarta is also served by a train station, namely Tugu Station which is the main point of land transportation to this city. The train is a convenient and quite popular means of transportation for people coming from outside the city.

In addition, you can get around the city of Yogyakarta using traditional transportation that still exists, namely Becak and Andong. Becak is a traditional three-wheeled transportation with passenger seats in the front driven by a becak driver from behind. While andong is a traditional transportation like a cart made of wood pulled by a horse with passenger seats behind the coachman.

Overall, Yogyakarta provides a variety of transportation options that make travel easier for both local residents and tourists.
